I'm a Nebraska grad (2006, B.S.E.E.) who works in Nashville, TN. I've been reading this board for 10 years, but never post.
When reading all the talk about a new head coach, and how to turn things around, it made me think of Austin Peay here in Tennessee. From 2012 through 2016 they went 3-54, including losing 27 games in a row. Their 2nd year head coach now has them at 7-4 (6-1 in conference). The athletic director was hired in August of 2015 and recognized the need to improve the football team and stadium. He went to work.
He did not increase capacity at the stadium by raising millions of dollars. He does not have rich boosters to add box seats or anything like that. Instead, he teamed up with boxLIFE to add "suites" made from shipping containers.

If you are sitting in the suites, you are at the back of the end zone and when a player scores, you high-five the players.
Fans, students, and everyone LOVES it.
So, Nebraska may not need millions of dollars to turn things around. It's about setting a wildly important goal and doing the things to make it happen. Put in the mentality of winning and it will happen.
