If possible, I'd like to see this thread remain positive regarding Frank Solich. Believe me, I know the story up-and-down BOTH sides of the subject.
I was disappointed the writer didn't include at least a paragraph about Frank's unbelievably successful and lengthy stint as the Freshmen Team coach. I haven't researched, but I believe it was before Freshmen were permitted to compete on varsity, or some such thing. I'd love to hear comments on THAT specific aspect if any fans happen to have the facts at hand. (My memory has it that his freshmen teams played through an incredible winning streak.)
