Army All-American

Yeah, that's quite a bit of affection for a guy he never even met.
Oh- Bookie was the one with the highly-produced "commit" video that started with a deceased brother's grave and ended with "punking" the viewer with the wrong sweatshirt? No thanks. Plain weird. I'll pass on the teenage narcissist football players.

Not for nothing but....IIRC the video didn't "punk" the viewer....I believe he was wearing a LA Kings jersey which he removed to reveal the Blackshirts shirt underneath... At the time most described the video as emotional.... In the end I feel like if you are going to put a video out like that, there really would be some sort of conviction in your decision...

Whatever the fun, switcheroo was, at the end, I just thought it was really odd, considering the beginning of the video. If I had a child athletic enough to be recruited, nationally, the last thing on earth we would do is make a dramatic "commitment" video.

I guess maybe I perceived the video differently...I didn't see any sort of intent to mislead the viewer...Moore's video on the other hand, (pardon the pun) shows him starting to unveil A&M gloves before he puts on a Nebraska shirt....With that being said, I agree with you as far as commitment videos go...I'm not a fan.... At the end of the day, its not changing anytime soon. Commit videos, hat picking, thousands of followers on twitter....Its the day and age we live in... Its not 100% the kids fault. However if Nebraska want top 10 classes every year, the top recruits are going to be in the spotlight, and they will soak up as much attention until the letter is signed.

He is a corner, and completely forgettable unless he also returns kicks and punts at an all-american level. In fact, without looking, name the nations top corner? Bet you can't. Heck we won 8 games in 2005 with only one corner who could even play the ball. Teams are creative enough with offenses that they can get your best guy covering a TE or slot receiver pretty much every play if they want to...

I must have them switched. My bad. I think all the hype stuff is just generally not the best thing for teenage athletes. Wish more adults in their lives would discourage the drama...for their kid's sake. JMO, of course.
