Can you explain why you mean?
We pounded them for over 200 yards on the ground, leaning on them throughout the night.
They dunked and dunked all night. How is that physical?
What specifically did you see that led you to believe they were more physical?
I'm a pretty critical person but I'm not stupid enough to think that a team which rushed for under 100 yards and made a living off of quick passes was more physical than the team that put up over 200 on them.
Our defense simply didn't execute well in that game, if they had it wouldn't have been a contest.

I'll be honest, I've been reading from the shadows since last night, I wouldn't say more physical, but our OL held up darn well, our DL got great push most of the night. I would bet nearly 50% of your rushing yards came after first contact because we just couldn't seem to wrap up Bryant to save our lives.
We only had 82 yards rushing but you have to remember we view those quick screens as run plays that open up the middle stuff and throws like the 29 yard TD pass to Murray.
As for the "they're a Sun Belt team" while I'm not claiming the SBC is equal to the AAC or the MWC its is far from the worst conference in football anymore and the end of season rankings show that for 5 or 6 years running. Granted Athlon and the like always fall back to ranking us 10th to start the year we just don't finish that low.

They played very well against the right side of our o-line.
What's chickenshit about taking what the defense gives you? We didn't make your CB's play 10 yards off the ball and give us 5 yards a pass.
Arkansas state is a program used to winning at their level and played with that attitude! We're trying to find an identity under a new defensive system, new offensive scheme and are more worried about being lined up right etc instead of just playing balls to the wall. Give a little time for the guys to fully feel comfortable at their position and the more aggressive we'll be.
I was impressed with their LB. The one who got the safety and stoned McNitt on his run at the endzone.

Yes, sometimes what gets lost in all the naysaying of what our players and coaches did wrong is the fact that AkSt has some good players (starting with your QB) and played their asses off. Winning teams expect to win before, during and after the game (even if they lose) and that's the vibe I got from your team. Good luck the rest of the way.
