You'll be fully on board tomorrow night. There will be a bounce in your step and a tune in your head... Hail Varsity! This team is now Riley's and Oregon will feel it's wrath. This is really starting to remind me of the 92 Nebraska vs Colorado game. We finally came out of the bad years in one glorious moment against the Buffs. We still had a year to go before our undefeated season matchup with Charlie Ward but that Halloween game changed the heart of Husker Football.
I am very hopeful for a big win, but we've been so let down in the past for these "big wins". Yes, we've beaten Michigan State and other strong programs, but they've always been once the season was already lost.
That said, I don't equate this as a HUGE win, because it isn't against a top 10 team, and it isn't against a conference powerhouse. But it is big because if we fail to take advantage of this game, it will feel like "here we go again..."
This program and its fans really need to feel good and a win tomorrow will go a long way toward accomplishing that.
