Are you open to the idea of the NFL being rigged?

They wouldn’t have the better record if the Bengals beat them in that cancelled game.
And the Bengals played 7 home games and 9 road games because if it. The Whole thing is ridiculous. The League acted like the Bills were the winner of that game for some reason. Guess that’s what was in the script for that week.

They didn't beat them, whats your point?

The fact that Buffalo, in their very first game after Hamlin went down, returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown does seem a little…odd.

They just closed the Open Board and now all the crazies and conspiracy theorists have migrated here.

Does anyone know if an NFL kicker has ever missed 3 extra points in a row? Little suspect for Maher…
Wow, so apparently he has actually missed 4 in a row dating back to week 18. There’s no way that’s ever been done. The only thing I can find is that a few kickers have missed 3 in one game, but does not say all in a row.

The Bills didn’t have the best winning percentage or as many wins as the chiefs either. Yet the Chiefs are denied home field throughout. Must be nice to have the rules changed for one team.

WTF are u talking about? In all honesty the Bills would be the one screwed. They beat the Chiefs and were in line for the top seed.

Maybe the Chiefs should have beaten the Bills head-to-head when they played them at Arrowhead?

Like I said, I wish the NFL would have made up the Bills-Bengals game. Largely because if the Bills advance to the Super Bowl on a neutral field, the blubbering from Chiefs fans will be even worse than usual, and it will go on forever.

a little piece of me enjoys it

anyone who lays that kind of juice is always in danger of a reckoning

it just usually happens in the 1st round of a tennis tournament lol
What I can't figure out is that the potential payoff was basically bank interest.

As the great philosopher Wade Gustafson said in Fargo:

"If I wanted bank interest on $750,000, I'd go to Midwest Federal and talk to ol' Bill Diel!"

I wouldn’t say “rigged”, but it is set up in a way that the last team with the ball often wins. Shootouts are boring as hell. Defense has been so neutered that I don’t watch much anymore. College is even worse with the RPO rules. Lineman downfield blocking on pass plays annoys the crap out of me. They rarely enforce the current rules as written
Same thing with the NBA. Rule changes all favor the offense. Both leagues are convinced that star players and high scoring is all that matters. TV ratings are more important than the game itself.
