Apparently Doc Sadler is living in a van

While I’m mentioning former NU BB coaches - kudos to Tim Miles who in year 2 has posted the best record at San Jose St in the last 45 years. Another win and it will be the best record since 1950
Absolutely. liked Timmy but in the B1G at the time things were not on the upward swing his last two years.

All the space he needs and no doubt has the use of all of the facilities and probably a free electrical hookup. Water and sewer though? I have a friend who owns a seasonal RV part and she has snowbirds who live all summer in campers not any bigger than that but at least they have shade trees, water, cable TV and septic systems. I think Doc flies solo down there.

When the inevitable Oklahoma tornado comes he can just put her in gear and get out of the path.

He uses the shower and bathroom in the arena, he just sleeps in the van.

I’m all for people living where and how they want. But if I was Doc, I would not have agreed to this article. Now that car thefts/break-ins are the freaking national pastime, the van’s an easy target next time the Sooners are on the road.

Fred has been better. Clearly. This years team plays hard. Even trev has noticed how much better it is

He has Viper car theft protection. He is fine

Perhaps he thought about that and will move it during the away games.

Maybe. But at his age when he inevitably wakes up in the middle of the night and has to take a piss that presents quite a dilemma - probably has an old Mountain Dew 2 liter bottle he pisses in at night
They sell "medical" piss jugs you know. Sheesh. I just got done emptying out and clean....I mean I read about it online.

If that is a Winnebago Boldt, which I think it is, it is a $245K van with a bathroom including a shower. No medical or Mountain Dew piss bottles required. If you read all the retirement blogs, camper vans are the latest rage. People either go full on hippie and live in them, or people of more means drive them to and from resorts. Saves the BS of having to fly, you get to see the countryside driving to your resort, and when you get there you have wheels if needed without having to rent a car.

Only if I were to spring for the flippin OPTIONAL 4wd. Or AWD. Whatever. I guess it depends on what time of year and where youre headed. If it were my home, yeah, itd have to have to have it.

Glad Tim is having success. Pretty clear he had hit his ceiling at Nebraska and it was best both parties made a change.

Everyone knows you saw off the very top at the point where the bottle begins to taper to make a proper piss jug.
Don't do that. It really increases the mess when you throw it out the window in Council Bluffs.

You want to be able to screw that top back on.

That motor home has a toilet. You just want to use so much that you have to go dump the tank every week. 😉

Van camping rulez. If I was retired I'd do it more. You go Doc, you're an inspiration.
Closest thing I’ve done to that is to pull in to a campground a few steps from a Wyoming wilderness area with my Expedition. With the rear seats folded down I had all kinds of room. No worries of bears or rain. Beats the hell out of a uneven tent floor. I would love to hit the road in a 21 footer like Doc’s. Parking it in an asphalt parking lot not so much. Probably quieter than an apartment and no worries about parking or furnishings.

perhaps, but in 4 years I'm not convinced that our current coach's ceiling has yet risen above Miles' floor

I live in a camper 2 -3 weeks a month Mon-Thur... I'm in sales covering 2/3 of the state of Texas so I have a camper parked down between Austin/Houston... much better than staying in a Hotel... it's my bed, my kitchen and my bathroom... basically my home away from home... RV/Camper living isn't actually all that bad...
