Curious to hear about experiences? I found a nice lot that I just purchased and plan to serve as general contractor. My father has built three homes on his own and works in the trade, so he will be helping me along the way. How much money can I plan on saving - 20-30% sound reasonable? We plan on doing much of the work such as framing, electrical, siding, etc.
