i'm a drone virgin..narrowed my first hook up with a drone to a potensic atom 2....curious if any of you degenerates have flown a potensic and what yer thoughts are? i know dji is the smokin hawt blonde with big tits of the drone market but no way i'm spending that on my first experience...want something i can lose in a river and not cry about it, for now.

next ?...... lets say...i go to moab and film inside a national park...yes i know its illegal...i am curious, if its a small unregistered drone, would i really need to worry about a visit from the faa down the line at my house, or do they have bigger fish to fry?

i do a ton of solo mtn biking in the mountains colorado and utah and at age fiddy seven those days are coming to an end, would like to capture some of it while i can...so follow me feature is #1 for me...if anyone has a personal recommendation i'd love to read it.

I’ve heard there’s a place out in Nevada called ‘Area Fiftysomething’ that has some interesting things to look at. Sounds like a good place to fly your drone.

You most likely wouldn’t get any visit from the FAA unless your drone was ingested in a turbine engine. The parks are more likely to get you in trouble. There are faa airspace rules to follow and also park rules to follow. Just be cognizant of that. If your drone is under 249g, you don’t have to register it. If it weighs more, you “should”. The B4UFLY app is very helpful. If you ever work up to the smokin hot blonde, aka DJI, they have all of that preflight info built in their app and/or remotes.
