Years ago when the Suns and ASU were the big dogs, I think that was true but not so sure it’s true anymore. I think the firing was based on the last three years performance and the prospect that 7-5 might be a new ceiling for Graham. But Graham also has a bit of Pelini in him and that surely didn’t help him.Not a big surprise. That is one school with the right coach that can be very good.
I hope so, unless we need him as option B. Graham reminds me of a sleazy car salesman. I won’t miss his mug on the tube.Gotta think they have their sights on Norvell.
I know every year it seems there are more and more coach firings, but this year seems crazy with the number of big time job openings.
Nebraska, Florida, Arkansas, A&M, UCLA, Arizona State are some doozies.
Sumlin was fired?I know every year it seems there are more and more coach firings, but this year seems crazy with the number of big time job openings.

Oddly enough here in Phoenix Channel 3 has been refuting it all morning, so I guess it was leaked ahead of schedule. I like Mike Norvell of Memphis and formerly of ASU as our Option B, but ASU may nab him first.
The place where Scott took some lumps in 1996. Hmmmmm?Frosts wife is from AZ. That settles it.

Tennessee, ole miss, Oregon state, UCFI know every year it seems there are more and more coach firings, but this year seems crazy with the number of big time job openings.

Everybody took their lumps that night, Osborne certainly did. That 70+ bomb he dropped on ASU the year before certainly served as a bit of inspiration for the Devils in 1996.The place where Scott took some lumps in 1996. Hmmmmm?
Remember when Graham was a hot name for the NU job back a few years ago.Not a big surprise. That is one school with the right coach that can be very good.

Almost all of my friends are ASU fans and they still brag about that game. We were two-time defending NC so it was/is a big deal for them. Scott was overmatched that game, which was only his second or third start and the ASU defense was very good. The place where Scott took some lumps in 1996. Hmmmmm?
Wow did we get lucky although he probably would have won more than Riley. But after seeing him interviewed many times here on local TV, I am so happy he’s leaving. I wouldn’t even buy a car from the guy.Remember when Graham was a hot name for the NU job back a few years ago.![]()
Lots of NFL players as it turned out on the ASU team that year.Almost all of my friends are ASU fans and they still brag about that game. I remember the QB and WR being good. Jake....and...,??Lots of NFL players as it turned out on the ASU team that year.
Keith Poole. Hard to believe we beat them by 50 the year before.I remember the QB and WR being good. Jake....and...,??
I was at that beating in Lincoln the year before. C Childs and the boys ran wild that dayKeith Poole. Hard to believe we beat them by 60 the year before.
Randall McDaniel was all pro for years for the Vikings. There was another OLineman I think as well who played for years in the NFL and then I seem to recall a D lineman and defensive backs that made rosters but I could be wrong. Tough environment for an inexpereinced QB. Kind of like Lee's game at Oregon after transferring in and sitting out a year.I remember the QB and WR being good. Jake....and...,??
I am pretty sure Pat Tillman was a safety on that ASU team.
