Another 4 star!! Elijah Jeudy is N!!

Oh they are out there. See Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and many others for proof. We have brought in a few, but simply haven't developed them. I believe things will be different with this staff. I have to. This feels like the last shot.
Wan'Dale is and was an alpha

Im not talking about starting next year. Im talking about Alphas who will be groomed and ready to make a run at a Big 10 championship in 3 years. That should be the focus. The next two years will be rebuild years along the lines.

So everyone just gonna ignore a certain QB's picture he just posted on social media???

Agree. Especially at his size.

OT: I think maybe after all the recruiting is wrapped up and we are in a slow time, I'll start a thread on Open Scrolls and do some true stories about some of the racing exploits. LOL. If there are a few guys interested, I might even entertain a Q & A to see if I know some things about the sport of horse racing that could benefit those who partake.

If not, maybe you and I can hook up in the private chat area and swap stories about football, or sports in general.

Remember, at 69 I'm an old guy and have lots of time on my hands. I have one good friend on here, he and I chat privately. He and I had coffee twice. First time for 3+ hours, then last week for 4+ hours.

Had a blast. He's become a good friend. Retired life is good.

that is awesome & I would love that

somehow some way I would love to drink some cold ones with any and all members of this board

I find it odd/strange that there's all this mystery being created surrounding Dylan. His Dad claims he is completely open in his recruiting and won't be considering any school for a few months. OK but then Rhule keeps dropping mysterious hints and Dylan is caught pictured wearing Husker gear. Not sure what gives here. If he's secretly committed than why not just say it? If he's not committed then why is Rhule dropping those mysterious hints? I don't get what the benefit is to not going public with a commitment IF IN FACT there was a commit that happened. Getting the commit from a highly touted QB obviously makes a difference to getting other highly rated players to come along with him so the sooner the better for him as well.

I’m not really even understand what you’re arguing essentially you want players that will be good one day…isn’t that literally the goal every college recruiting? The badgers have had nothing but mostly zero stars to three star players and they currently have 10 officers NFL lineman right now. I highly doubt they were your idea of “alphas” looking at the intital class. Recruiting is a crapshoot, period.

You would be wrong about the badgers. What they did do is recruit talent and attitude and groom them until they were ready to start or play significantly.

Lot of talent in this list 4 and 5 stars.^^^^^

I want dudes with attitude and talent. And I want enough to cover the misses that we will inevitably encounter.

No alcohol here, but I'm a coffee-drinking fool (now my wife would say I'm half right). LOL

Yes, I agree with all the guys on this message board. We have so many guys on here that have talents that not everyone possesses. I love when someone needs a suggestion for something, and presto, we seem to have people who make their living in that vocation. It's pretty cool to be a part of.

I'll wait until all the recruiting has been finalized, and then start a topic that doesn't conflict with the bowl schedule.

I like following yourself, scarletred, Tuco, and the others who make their predictions. I'm interested in how you guys get to the decision to play certain teams. So, even though I won't bet on football, that's an aspect that intrigues me.

After having played horses successfully for over 50 years, I have some knowledge and understanding of the game that some might find interesting. I don't know 100% of all things horseracing, but I do know about 99.9% of it. It's kind of like Husker football, it gets in your blood.

I'm at the point in my life where I won't mind sharing some things. If they play horses and have trouble in certain aspects of the game, maybe I can help their thought process. I specialize in asymmetrical information gaps.

Enough for now. Do we need to get on Rhule's ass to sign some more 4* kids?

Who? The dad, the recruit or the coach? If you mean, Rhule I don't think it's a very good idea to be messing around like that if either it's not true or the recruit and/or his family don't want the info. out there.

The kid. Just havin fun. I kind of like it. 😀messin with keyboard pounders
you'd have to think he's talked to lincoln riley, right?

every school technically is an option for him, but I'm not sure which pose the biggest threat

Hopefully the group of Nebraska kids plus the dude from Pierre will be developed into that.
