Another 4 star!! Elijah Jeudy is N!!

at the very least all name team rushers
I look forward to the Beth Mowins call of the Nebraska v. Iowa game next November.

"Hawkeyes running out of time, and here's McNamara back to throw, Huskers are coming with pressure from Maciejczak up the middle, and now pressure on the edge from Umanmielen, the ball is tipped, and itssss INTERCEPTED by Safeeullah. Husker ball!!"

When was the last time a new NU coach didn’t bring in his highest rated class in Year 0 (lol)?

Dead cats bounce and hope springs eternal

Go win some gol darned games, Coach!

Frost didn’t. Man that class was a hot pile of steaming guana. Lots of reaches and questionable character guys.

Appears we’re winning some battles with good programs this time around.

I thought he landed like 4 Florida 4 stars in his first year, none of which ever played a down...I am sure it isn't as bad as I remember, but it was pretty bad.

Yep, frosts first class was his highest rated (as stated)

Hindsight doesn’t change anything

Hopefully our new coach wins and actually improves instead of tail spinning the second the games start

More from Beth: "You'd think that after having thrown five interceptions already, and with Iowa trailing by six touchdowns with 28 seconds remaining, that Iowa might have chosen to run out the clock. However, with offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz trying to find their first offensive touchdown of the season, they weren't going to give up until the very end.

"Thompson takes a knee, and there's the final countdown. Nebraska wins 42-0 over the Hawkeyes and clinch their spot in the Big Ten title game. Iowa will have to go home and lick its wounds and figure out how to get through the final six years of Captain Kirk's contract. With all the players of color having left the team after last March's racism court case, the Hawks were up against it in 2023."

Division should long be clenched by Black Friday!

Rhule and staff are doing some work.. this could be a pretty good incoming class.
Obviously NU has to sign them and then keep them. I'm really pleased at the moment.

In the longshot event, NU would grab that highly rated, yet unproven kid from Rhode Island, and get lucky with the OLman Scott, and especially if NU can make a move on that LG from Baylor, I would think this NU offense has a "chance to be very good."

Getting one and especially 2 of these kids changes the entire outlook of the offense's potential.

Disclaimer: We really need CT to return healthy. It would be nice if Sims could shake the injury bug. Throw in a really good transfer or JUCO on the DL, maybe add another LB, and NU has the raw material to make a little noise.

Kids still have to be able to grasp the new systems on both sides of the ball. But, I'm hopeful.

Most of us have been clenched for a while when it comes to this team

And Callahan’s too. I think BC took 29 which was as high for those times. Before that Frank was taking 16-17 ☹️
Looks like through the portal NU has lost 9? scholarship kids. So at present, maybe we are just +15 or so?
(Maybe I'll do a gained vs. lost and see where we are actually at).

*Edit* Obviously NU can't keep CT, JS, LS, CP, T, HH, and walkon from Hastings at QB. That's 7 QBs/6 scholarships.

I’ve given up on trying to figure out how many guys we can take. It seems like every year we end up signing more after spring transfers than anybody guessed.

According to the rankings on this site '18 was a bit lower than subsequent classes until last year. '18 did include Jurgens and CTB.

It’s a hell of a lot better than being a limp dick alcoholic POS…. Frost didn’t even try.

I don’t know too many 17-18 year olds who are alphas. If they think they are coming out of high school they usually get an education that first fall
Oh they are out there. See Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State and many others for proof. We have brought in a few, but simply haven't developed them. I believe things will be different with this staff. I have to. This feels like the last shot.
