Hey friends...thought Id just let ya know what I heard. Good luck next week and this season. Rock Chalk and GBR!

Not too big of a surprise. It was either Cuse or he really, really overplayed his hand and had nowhere to go.

The question is does he even start. Does he go from starter to playing off the bench. Bottom-line is he will be a role player for the Cuse just like he was here (shooter). He hasn't gained a handle over the Summer I'm sure. I'm glad he is gone and we can focus on younger kids that want to be here.

His departure will hurt us in the short term but may help in the long run. Time will tell. I still question the wisdom of his move.

Guess Syracuse doesn't know that he is horrible, not worth that, not all that good, can't play D, can't create a shot, can't really rebound, can't dribble and can't pass.

The best thing the Cuse could do is kick him off the team the second he signs...because if they do that they will end up winning even more games.

Nah they signed him because he is a sure fire lottery pick.

White can play ball. Nebraska didn't want him to leave. He will play well at Syracuse.

Next.

I'm SURE he will be player of the year in the ACC. You heard it here first.

Actually, the NBA is starting a new league beginning in the fall of 2017. It's for the elite of the elite, 3 on 3. All the big names will play; LBJ, Melo, Curry, KD, Andrew White III, Westbrook, Davis, Butler, George, etc. The cream of the crop.

Syracuse is lucky this didn't begin in 2016.

Doubtful, I mean the guy is NAIA level at best. Purely dumb luck that he averaged nearly 17 PPG last year. We will be SOOOOOOOO much better off without his "talents." Tim Miles doesn't rebuild, he reloads.

It's why he left, Miles kept him down. He should have averaged 30+ last year and certainly Jim B. sees his talents and will feature him. He will be Player of the Year, NO doubt in my mind.

Obviously Boheim struck out on every other last minute grad transfer he was courting......

Oh that's why he left? I was under the impression he left because he didn't want to go thru another .500 type season. That, and obviously Cuse is a perfect system for him. Either way...had he stayed...McVeigh would have taken the bulk of his minutes obviously.

He left to be Player of the Year, no way that happens at Nebraska where they weren't going to run plays for him. At the Cuse he will be the #1 option.

McVeigh won't play this year, I hear he has really digressed in his play.

Player of the year? He had a better chance to be player of the year at NU. He left because he only want's to shoot three pointers and win games. As delusional as it may be, he believes his niche to make the NBA is to be a three point specialist. At Cuse he can be that guy...at Nebraska, he was going to be asked to do everything in our offense.

Specialist? No way, his ball handling is way too good to be a shooting specialist. His wide variety of moves means he can score from anywhere on the court. Why limit him to a role player (where did I hear that before)? I know a guy last year that said he was nothing more than a role player and he got pounded for saying so. Say it ain't so Joe!

Uhhh yeah....you said McVeigh was better and had more "tools." LaughingLaughingLaughing And you wanted to bash the guy who was averaging close to 17 PPG......yeah that makes sense. He must really suck putting up 17 PPG on a Big Ten squad!

Stop using drugs, it impacts your memory. I stated McVeigh WOULD be better in the future because he has a more complete game. I stated White was a role player, a shooting specialist, which everyone, especially YOU disagreed with. One year layer YOU call him a shooting specialist. Nice to see you saw the light on White. With McVeigh only time will tell.

But I stand by White being POY now that he is with a great program and coach that see his real value.

Uhhh no, people disagreed with you because you called White a "disappointment." Which of course, was as laughable then as it is now. You then went on to say White's role was to only stretch the floor and shoot threes. Which I then pointed out to you that White had more 2pt buckets than he did three's. Not to mention..his ability to rebound the ball.

You said you would take three more years of McVeigh than you would white White. Of course, I laughed then like I am now...yeah, you take McVeigh, I'll take the guy averaging 17 points per game. To top it off...while you bash White for "not living up to expectations" with his 17PPG you call Tai Webster a "difference maker." Laughing

White will be a great role player for the Orange. I wish him the best, and hope that he has a good season in his last go round at his 3rd school.

GBR

Getting a role player given he was a top 50 recruit and a Kansas transfer, yep and I was disappointed. You better average 17 taking mostly 3s and plays being run for you the whole game - always said he was the best shooter. Regarding Jack I said wait 3 years and compare apples to apples. Comparing a true freshmen to a 4th year player wasn't a fair comparison. He has an all around game, he was just weak.

So bottom-line I was spot on White is nothing more than a role player (which he plays great). Time will tell on Jack.

So Miles was running plays every game all game for just a role player? No wonder why Miles had to hire offensive help. You can call him whatever you want...he produced. 17 PPG and 6 boards a game...what a "disappointment." The numbers don't lie. BTW, per 40 minutes White was taking close to 8 shots a game inside the arc. That sure doesn't jive with your "mostly 3's" comment. And...you said you would rather have three more years with McVeigh than White. Don't try to back track now. We will be very lucky if McVeigh turns out to be as good as White was last year. The good news is White transferred so no excuses for Miles this year!

Not sure if there's sarcasm or not, but he's been injured.

Not really sure where else to put this, but McVeigh is in this video so he must be back from whatever injury he had. Also, Roby has been cleared to get back on the court. The gains he has made in the weight room since stepping foot on campus is pretty amazing.

Zay Roby up to #225...has gained 20 pounds. Looks like a good playing weight for him...I was initially concerned his body wouldn't hold up this year.

Also, no homo on the pics below...post by Zay's dad on the basketball board. Husker strength staff do a great job.

Roby hasn't been cleared to get back on the court yet. He has been cleared to increase some of his workouts, but is still limited with his running and jumping. It could be another month before he gets cleared completely.
