I agree, but (and I mean this seriously) he was coached by possibly one of the worst QB coaches I've ever seen. Given that, it's really hard to guage HH or CP, or Logan. That's how bad the cigar smoker was.

'in the right system' = he was not a good fit for Whipple's offense.
By the way, where was HH for that game? Buried behind everyone else on the depth chart.

Good for him. I liked his attitude but some of his on field decisions were gut wrenching.

He could excel in an atmosphere of marginal athletes where the game is slower.

Smothers was quicker than Sims but I braced myself for Smothers to turn it over every time he touched the ball. I don't think he was the answer either.
