Passing game reps in practice are suddenly going to be a lot more valuable for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th team pass catchers.

Richard Torres is probably the 5th team QB, but unlike 4th or 5th year guys of the past, he can actually execute every throw in the playbook and do it with some pop.

We've often asked why receivers can't develop or can't find the field. Imo, a lot of those guys weren't getting any valuable work in practice.

Martinez, Bunch, and Vedral, and walk on.
Martinez, Vedral, Luke, walk on.
Martinez, Smothers, Haarberg, walk on.

If guys weren't earning reps with Adrian in the past, the passing game was not developing. Hell, some young guys probably only saw 5 to 7 realistic Big Ten caliber throws in practice all season.

The new QB depth should pay dividends for the whole skill player development, not just the QB position itself.
