I just spoke briefly with Chicago, Illinois defensive tackle Amir Watts and he confirmed that he has switched his official visit on January 29 from Nebraska to Iowa State.

Watts said that he made the switch because, "I really had a connection with the [new] head coach at Iowa State."

His other two official visits after the NCAA Dead Period ends will remain to Indiana on January 15 and Pittsburgh on January 22.

He has already officially visited Minnesota and he said that they remain in the running for his signed LOI, along with the three programs will be visiting in January.

He will base his final decision on the coaching and the people he encounters on his visits.

Watts said that he is no longer considering Nebraska.
