Anybody going to watch this series premiere tonight? Looks excellent and has had good reviews.

On this evening at 9 PM Central time on FX.

Can't believe it's been 20 years already. I was just a young kid and I remember being pissed that they were interrupting the NBA Finals to show a car driving down the freeway.

This has gotten good reviews ...ESPN is doing their OJ story this summer and supposedly its the best thing they have ever done

Holy crap was this bad.....and I loved it...totally in for 9 more weeks....Rod Tidwell as OJ and how they randomly sprinkled in Kardashian references ...high unintentional comedy

not a chance, sensationalized crapfest. How anyone watches this kind of stuff is beyond me, but whatever floats your boat.

It was entertaining I guess. But Cuba Gooding isn't very believable as OJ. He doesn't look or sound anything like him.

I had reservations about watching, but I was pleasantly surprised that it doesn't appear to be taking any particular slant either way (Yes I know, just one episode so far). In fact it hasn't been favorable towards OJ, which I think some might have expected. They mention how when OJ is notified over the phone in Chicago that Nicole is dead, that he didn't ask how. They showed the interrogation where OJ was less than specific with his timeframe on when he returned home that night. They went over the witness statements of people who saw OJ on the night of the murders. Most surprising to me was that they had a scene where Shapiro had arranged for OJ to take a polygraph (which has been rumored for years), and he bombed it. They even used fairly accurate language in describing the examiner's scoring of his exam. They noted how he was suicidal before the infamous Bronco chase, threatening to kill himself in Kardashian's daughter's room, which is pretty much were episode 1 ended.

I found this article interesting about how Gooding Jr was offered a prior role to play OJ 'based on his innocence' and passed.

So I am hopeful that this series tries to stay close to the truth and just gives an indication of what everyone involved did.

Even knowing so much about the story already, I found the show to be "must-see." I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of the show.

Ya, the cast is ridiculous but I have to say after 1 episode, the acting was atrocious.

I'd agree. Travolta is trying way to hard IMO to be like his Swordfish character mixed with a high society person, and just doesn't seem to come off like Shapiro. There's other characters that are less than stellar. Not sure I like the guy they cast for Furhman.

No way I'm watching that. I have better things to do then watch someone get away with murder.

True, but IMO most of the acting is probably pretty close to how these people act in their real lives. It seemed like all of these people have a pretty warped sense of reality in their real lives. While Travolta seems like he is over acting, Shapiro was an odd character with a hugely inflated ego because is was a lawyer for celebrities.

I am not sure how accurate it is, but the one scene that really shows how messed up these people were as human beings is when Kardashian (Schwimmer) is outside OJ's house. He is talking to the police office and is saying "I am a close personal friend of the Juice." And he goes on to tell the cop that "I am sure my name is on the list." The cop looks at him and says "There is no list." If that is actually what he said to the cop, that is messed up! He treated gaining access to a murder scene and or murder suspect, like he was getting in to a nightclub.

The acting is pretty poor but the events seem to be pretty accurate as to what happened so far. The OJ Tapes were on earlier this week and it was about his civil trial and had quite a lot of his (the real OJ) video depositions that were played....there is no doubt in my mind that he killed them both and he is a terrible liar on tape.

No question that OJ was as quilty as hell... But still have to watch this just because of watching what unfolded during the time it happend.

Heard an interview with Cuba Gooding Jr, who said, "this will definetly help you see why the jury reached the verdict they did,"
Based on that comment, I didn't watch. The last thing I was to see is a positive spin on his innocence. From reading the above remarks however, doesn't sound like that's how it went. Might need to tune in.

There is no doubt OJ was guilty. But if you knew the relationship between African-Americans and the LAPD at the time, there was no way that mostly-black jury was going to convict him. Especially with how inept the prosecution was. I think that is what this series is going to portray.

The prosecution lost the case when Bailey baited Darden into having OJ try on the glove. I saw an interview of OJ years ago where he admitted he did everything he could to make the gloves not go on. That gave the jury their "reasonable doubt" that some wanted.

He did it without a doubt. The crime scene photos are on line. Those wounds to the bodies, that was freaking personal, and made by a pissed of person.

CNET did a computerized animation of the murders. I'm not saying it is correct, but I believe it is at least somewhat accurate in what happened.
