Am I the only one not sold on DR?

Why are we comparing AM to DR? Seems pointless to me.

I like DR. I am pro-DR. I support DR.

For those trashing DR … you are fulfilling a legacy of Husker idiot-fandom that poisons the program. And you ran AM to Manhattan KS of all god forsaken places. Where he did better because he wasn’t in the Lincoln Brain Rot syndrome anymore
He did better at KSU because the coaches had recruited players who could generate offense. Vaughn was a demon at RB. Hell, Kade Warner almost had 500 yards receiving. Amart did not have to press and it was very much a less is more thing for him.

Didn't he end up as a backup at KSU?

Turned out frost was a shitty head coach, as was his quarterback coach. AM was a good quarterback, which he showed at K State, as well as in his freshman year here. DR may turn out better with a better offensive coaching staff. As they say the jury is still out.

There's a reason no power conference schools start a true freshman. Oregon had a 6th year starter playing for them today. OSU had a 5th year season transfer. That said I think the ups and downs of Raiola's freshman could pay dividends next season. I'd rather not do it again.

Rhule is completely rebuilding the program. Later on, this may be no big deal, but today he's the best QB on the roster by far. In the future it may become plug n play. The NEXT guy will have it a lot easier. Can't say he'll be the next Raiola though!

Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence, Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson say hello… probably quite a few others.

It remains to be seen whether DR will be more like one of these guys or more like AM moving forward.

Where did Leavitt go? I don’t remember, and don’t know how this season went for him. Any insight would be appreciated.

Lets compare the rushing yards of Tommie Frazier to David Humm or Jerry Taage.
I listened to a former player yuck it up about Tom trying to get Humm and Ferragamo to run option in practice🤣. Tagge on the other hand could punish people. He was slow but he could run option with the best of them. One big tough dude. I would like to see more of that from Dylan. He needs to be more Big Ben and less Mahommes.

And yet AM continued to piss it down his leg at times at KSU. AM looked like a different QB playing in the pro summer league and the NFL preseason this past year. He might stick on a roster this year.

Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia reminds me of Tagge. Doesn't look like a guy who should beat you, but he moves the chains.

Can you imagine the shit storm that would have descended on Rhule had it come out that he told the Raiolas that he had promised the job to McCord.
Why would it be a shit storm? McCord was clearly the better QB this year.

Shoot, no chance. I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but nope you doubled down. Mr Roarke and Tattoo are expecting you in your cabana.

Personally, I think they should have landed both Quinn Ewers and Cam Ward.

That would have been a nice 1-2 punch for defenses to prepare for. It's like our coaches aren't even trying.

So, then no?
Jeff Sims came in at the same time as Leavitt. There was no guarantee that Leavitt was going to start at ASU. Again, we could have easily outbid ASU at the time. And like I said, high six figure income to sit on your ass for a year, I don't know many who would complain about that.

I actually would prefer Quinn Ewers and Arch Manning. Just take Texas completely out of the equation as a competitor this year.

Leavitt committed to Arizona St the exact same day that Sims entered the portal in December. Leavitt went through spring practice with ASU and was the projected starter when Rashada left in the middle of spring practice. Sims didn't even commit to Arizona St until May, he sat in the portal for 6 months with no takers until ASU had a spot with the departure of Rashada.
