Talk about Barry & Nebraska on here makes me redo a post I did a few years back . Barry thought he had a good chance at the Nebraska job when Tom retired after '97 . Tom instead appointed Solich (friend and former teammate of Barry). I (we ) saw Barry a few times in Lincoln at games during that period. He loved Nebraska at that time. Barry stayed at Wisconsin but with an obvious bias toward us because of rejection. This week shows the bias still exists AND Barry has the clout in the BIG to prove it . Barry is still working in Madison , partly to recover money he lost in deal at Miami AND he is the unquestioned leader of Wisconsin sports . Former Badger coaches have left because of Barry , Bielema the most notable .
