Anyone see the Herbie Husker?
I don't get it, what do you mean?
Tristan Gebbia: “I think they look awesome. Really clean, but I also love the traditional jerseys too.”Not a fan
I'm entitled to my opinion. What the recruits have to say doesn't influence my opinion on it either. Go Big Chrome.. ughTristan Gebbia: “I think they look awesome. Really clean, but I also love the traditional jerseys too.”
Jaevon McQuitty: “Why couldn’t I have been a 2016 graduate?”
Keyshawn Johnson: “So beautiful ”
Austin Allen: “Stragiht fire!!!”
Broc Bando: "I them more than last years. The red really pops. Wish these were the away uniforms."
Brenden Jaimes: “Those are so sweet! Some of the best uniforms in college football.”
Matt Sichterman: "Those are sick. I like them."
Robert Porcher IV: “I love them I can't wait to wear mine”
Deontre Thomas: "Haha they are SEXY."
Avery Roberts: "They tough."
Willie Hampton: "Yeahhhh!!! I like it a lot. It's fresh."
I agree. I am on old fart traditionalist who generally does not like alternate uniforms.ROCK SOLID!!!
...and I'm generally opposed to alt uni's
I'm 67 years old and have been a fan of all white. Always thought colored pants and white jerseys looked so 1950's I think all white with red accents looks clean. Always thought the colored pants were because most kids moms couldn't get the grass stains out when they washed them back in high schoolDifferent twist this year and wearing them for a road game instead of home game.....
At least Armstrong will be happy since he like's the all white uniforms so much.
But for the rest of the road games it better be Red Pants baby.
I wish they would allow both the Nike and Under Armour creative teams to do some uniforms and see what they could do.
Adidas Vice President and creative director is a former Nike designer. Two other former Nike designers are currently with Adidas as well. All three were part of the senior team at Nike.
I did not know this. Thanks for the info. It explains why Adidas seems to have suddenly figured something out.

Any reason given why they left Nike? And when they left?
From reading a few articles, they left Nike in 2014 but just started working for Adidas sometime this year. The gap was due to legal issues with employment contracts they had with Nike.
WE SHALL RIDE ETERNAL! SHINY, AND CHROME!
The Adidas global creative director has been with Adidas since 2007. These 3 came over from Shoe Design. Not sure if they would have input on Unies or not. Would still like to see what Nike and Under Armour could bring to the table, just for comparison sake.
I don't like the Herbie Husker on there. Then again, I have never liked any of our "mascots". Maybe next year they should put lil' red on there? LolThat's an awesome lil tidbit....The Herbie Husker in that location.
Now, after sitting on the bench as the brands litigated, Dolce has officially announced that he has taken the role of vice president and creative director Adidas. He posted the news on his Facebook page today:

Everyone is entitled to own opinion. But, bottom line, the players and recruits are the ones who will be wearing them so what they think is more relevant than what you or I or joe blow Husker fan thinks.I'm entitled to my opinion. What the recruits have to say doesn't influence my opinion on it either. Go Big Chrome.. ugh
I disagree completely with you on that one. Ultimately, it is the fan base that pays the bills. The recruits have no say in the matter of uniforms.Everyone is entitled to own opinion. Like I said, he isn't the global creative director. Probably second in command since he is in the United States though.
I'm not sure why you keep posting articles that don't show me that they are involved in uniform design though. Anyway, I hope whatever Adidas is doing continues. This year's uniforms are the best they've come up with. I would still like to see what could be done by other companies with our traditional uniforms.

Look, I just said I wasn't a fan, I didn't go shit on everyone's parade, so I don't know what your problem is. I will say this version is better than the others, but I don't like them toying with the tradition. Oregon might need something like this, but we shouldn't.
Yes I'm glad they didn't really mess with the N on the side, but changing out the "HUSKERS" logo on the forehead in lieu of a Herbie Husker symbol makes us look like Okie Light. I can't believe people actually like that.
To me, all this stuff just cheapens the brand, and the more you allow people to jack with it, the more people will continue to do so.
Nikki Sixx and Big Boxes - are you going away and dropping all affiliation with Nebraska if they continue to trot out these alternate uniforms on an annual basis? Until enough people answer yes, they will continue.
I am not saying you shouldn't oppose the uniforms just saying they ain't going anywhere.
This plus 1000. I agree completelyIt's a message board. I'm saying my opinion. Why do you have to tell me that my opinions don't matter? If that were the case tell me why you are posting yours. I don't like altering our uniforms that mess with our traditions. I tolerate a single game where they parade an ugly uniform that really doesn't identify as an image of Nebraska. The players like them for that one game? Good. I hope they are happy. I hope that they also love playing for a tradition rich school such as Nebraska and our proud to wear our lame uniform with the red and that boring N on the helmet.

Well, if your 67 did you even live in Nebraska during the Devaney era???
He is the one that pushed Go Big Red and made it a point that every one wears red on game day Saturday. He sold this to our fan base.
Since they couldn't wear red jerseys for away games they wore red pants. It's a on Devaney tradition that made this program.... Your history lesson has concluded.
I don't have a problem. I simply posted the responses of the players and recruits who were talking about how much they like the alternate uni's for one game. That's what I don't get about you "traditionalists" getting all worked up over one game uniform change. Its one freaking game a year. Its fun for the players to do something different for one game a year. Get over it. Its not all about you.I disagree completely with you on that one. Ultimately, it is the fan base that pays the bills. The recruits have no say in the matter of uniforms.

I hear you and agree. But I do wonder to what extent an old timer like me, who grew up on Devaney/Osborne, prefers the tradition of those days simply because it really is the last time we were worth a shit.Well, if your 67 did you even live in Nebraska during the Devaney era???

I don't like the idea of alternate uniforms. However, these are cool and if such things appeal to players and recruits then bring it on. They can all wear silver and white f$cking tutus for all I care if they just start winning again. Shit I am tired of losing. And let's get one thing straight: we remember Devaney/Osborne fondly because they WON. That is Nebraska's REAL tradition: winning.
Ha. What is our record with the all whites Scarlet? Probably not goodLOL.... Seems to me all this losing especially on the road was due to these all white uniforms...
But hay these are Alternate uni's and shouldn't be the jinx in a box uni's we normally wear.
