If it was HIV, sure. But if it was herpes or something, I don't even know how that's a criminal offense. 20% of the population has herpes so are you going to throw all those people in jail?
He wasn’t arrested for having a STD, he was arrested for knowingly giving it to someone else. Pretty big difference.
Intentionally spreading HIV is more of a California thing
If you have an STD and you knowingly give it to someone else, you should be in prison.
California made it a misdemeanor to knowingly and intentionally spread HIV
