Ajay Allen just can't find a home

Wonder if some of these kids ever figure out that after transferring umpteen times that maybe the problem is them not the team/situation.

Not likely, 18-22 year olds don’t make great decisions in general and as long as they see other players changing schools and cashing in they’ll irrationally believe they can too. They’ll ignore the many examples of players damaging their playing time and/or bottom line by jumping from one school to another, and they’ll fixate on the very few instances where it has a positive outcome.

Unfortunately, 20 year olds making bad decisions is a story as old as time itself…

This instant transfer rule is not doing anybody any favors. Let guys transfer but have to sit out at least one semester.

Some of these guys are learning the hard way that if you transfer you better be getting into a better situation. A lot like job hopping. Sooner or later you better land somewhere and stick it out. I don't begrudge players or students or employees for changing their situation if it isn't a good fit, but some of these guys think they are instant starters or will get a payday elsewhere. They end up never improving and will be nowhere fast.

Ajay popped early at NU and then got injured. Only played four games. So he was injured, his coaches were fired, and he was in a room with Grant, Gabe, Rahmir and EJ. He is a little undersized for a B1G back. And apparently the ACC as well.

Dana could use him.

Same class as EJ, who he was ahead of first year. Before Ajay got injured there was some talk that he might eventually surpass Grant. Things didn’t go his way in Miami. Did he regress or was NU’s talent base in 2022 closer to G5 level than it is now?

How does eligibility even work here? So many schools everything can't transfer and are you even in class during the year
