93.7 The Ticket To Expand ‘Drop The Mike’ An Hour

I might be in the minority but I hated that Husker Legends Show, I think they did one on Saturday mornings too, for an hour. I do like the Saturday morning one on 1620 from 7-9. 2-6pm on 1620 now is horrible.

I didn't care for it either. RIP Adrian btw. That show was a living contradiction. Lots of preaching about how fans should behave, and not live in the past. All while talking about nothing but the past. It was strange to me. I stopped listening after the Iowa game in 2013. Adrian said Bo made his own bed and needed to win a conference title in 2014. Then that was quickly abandoned.

I got sick of the "good ole day" stories...they were always the same...how hard the coached pushed them, how tough they were, how they would sneak out the night before a game and still show up the next day and record 22 tackles.

I thought the one on 1620 (was it hosted by Murtaugh maybe?) was the worst one.

I think the Big Red Over Reaction show is pretty funny

My
Funny. I was the exact opposite. 2-3 was some of the worst ego-driven radio and I always turned it off.
comment was more an indictment on welch. My least favorite person on the radio, hands down. Thoroughly annoying. But apparently there are people that tune in, so good for him.

He is way better than anybody locally, but thats just my opinion. He gives his opinion, and it may not always mesh with the "Huskers can do no wrong" local talk we get regurgitated consistently. He has good National guests on, but to each his own for sure.

I think the guys from 11 - 2 are good. Also like some shows in Omaha. I don't think he is anymore negative on the huskers than anyone else, in fact, his opinion is often times very positive on the huskers. He just comes across as a smug, not-well-spoken, I-think-I'm-cool-because-I-drive-a-nice-car, blah kind of guy. That's all. But, he's getting another hour, so it must be working.
