Lindsey told reporters Sunday that a positive experience during his spring game visit to Nebraska and his growing relationship with receivers coach Keith Williams have altered his timeline a bit. "It changed my whole process," Lindsey said.

Lindsey said he enjoyed his experience Sunday with Williams, too — getting a firsthand glance of what it's like to be instructed by the NU receiver coach. Lindsey appreciated Williams' energy and enthusiasm. As Williams is known to do, he celebrated catches with Lindsey and sprinted alongside him as he completed his routes.

"He's like one of my teammates," Lindsey said. "We've got a bond like that. ... A brotherly love type of bond. He actually wants to get to know me, and all that."

Lindsey said he intends to take an official visit to Lincoln this fall. For the Oregon game on Sept. 17.

Official visit to the Huskers AFTER announcing his commitment. I like that, although he could commit elsewhere and still use an OV to see a good game (hopefully).

Is he planning any future visits anywhere else?

This kid would be a home run if they could get him.

Great point. It looks good for NU. Loves working with Williams. Is going to be here for the OU game. I like it.

And it won't be his last pay bump. He is highly sought after. And not just in the college ranks.

Tate Martell, the former QB for, and very close friend of Tyjon Lindsey, just committed to Ohio State.

Not a good development for Nebraska's pursuit of Lindsey.
All they can do is tell you no & after that it's NEXT.

You may be right. I do seem to remember how much our WR coach has impressed across the nation... If Lindsey goes elsewhere, so be it. But as long as we have Dr. Route, we've got a chance.

Tyjon's speed is what makes him elite. His gears flow so nice in the open field.

I don't really understand how that is a bad development for Nebraska. As far as I know, Nebraska never pursued Tate or even offered him. Having a player you don't recruit or offer go to another school is not a bad development.

Why didn't Nebraska offer him? Hopefully it wasn't because he's a mobile quarterback.

Lindsey or Martell?

Martell. He is the one that had the drama with de-committing from A&M. Which is not really his fault. The one thing that I was unimpressed with with him was while he was committed A&M he was actively fishing for other offers on twitter. Like he posted, 'I hold offers from X,Y,Z. I would still like offers from A,B,C,D,E,F,G. And I would be willing to here from H,I,J,K. But I am still 100% committed to A&M.'

I knew about the A&M drama. I didn't know about the way he acted on Twitter.

New article on frontpage of HOL says Lindsey was named the MVP of the 5-star challenge. Would be great if he comes to NU.

So Tate has now committed to 2 different schools and Lindsey has yet to commit. Lindsey also has Nebraska in his final cut. I still don't see how Tate committing somewhere is a bad development when he never held a Nebraska offer. Nowhere in that article does Lindsey say anything about wanting to go to the same college as Tate. There is even a quote from the article linked.

While Martell would love to keep playing with Lindsey, package deals are rare in college football and Lindsey said he’s a long way from deciding on a school.

Because we already have a highly rated QB in this class. Who fits more of what our offense wants to be.
To expand on that, Martell is 5'10" and I hear that is in his shoes and on his tip toes. I'm sure he is quite a talented kid and with some systems that will be much less of a concern that can be worked around (spread the line out creating gaps for him to see through, put him in the gun, etc.). In others it is a major issue as it is kind of important for a qb to be able to see where he is throwing the ball.

Lindsay and Tate refer to each other as "brothers". Lindsay lived with Tate and his family in LV. Both have offers from OSU and Tate is now committeed. It would've been ideal for Tate to committ to somewhere outside of Lindsay's top schools. Hence it being bad for NU.

Tate is one inch shorter than Johnny Football. he seemed to have a pretty decent career in college. Lindsey would sure look good in the Buckeye offense.

This kid isn't in the same stratosphere as JF. Size is about the only comparison.

So am extremely talented football player would fit into your offense? Thanks for the in-depth analysis there Mr. Gruden.

I say it comes down to OSU and NU. Not a bad position for NU. He likes Williams a lot and has a lot of peer recruits he knows. Keyshawn, Gebbia etc. His MVP status only solidifies that he is a great get. There are only 15 to 20 true 5 stars per year. 3 to 4 per position. It is great to be in a position to have a shot. His visit on 9/17 is big. In think he would change it up if he wasn't serious about NU.
