Being it’s signing day I’m guessing it’s both, committed and signed. Probably just a semantics thing.
Is signed but not committed kind of like being married yet not committed 🤔
I'll be honest, I was just hoping to get one of the three (Raiola, Shavers, Tarver) so I'm ecstatic that the Huskers were able to land all three. Tough to win the signing day battles but glad the Huskers were able to come on top in these battles.
I think Shavers and McGahee could both make an impact as Freshmen.
I couldn’t agree more. McGahee will be one of our best edge rushers next fall. Very quick off the edge. Apparently top schools stayed away from him due to arm length. But there are ways to compensate for that.
Man oh man would I love to see us return to the kinds of defenses McBride put on the field in the 90's. In my opinion, it was our huge upgrade in defensive talent that put us over the top in the 90's more than the prowess of the offense. You need an entire team of course to win a national title, and the offenses in the 90's were magnificent. But the 1980's taught us that you do not win titles with a great offense but only an above average defense. And even this past year, we would probably have been 2-10 were it not for the vast improvement in our defense.
So bring on the defensive talent!!
