4-16 PC Notes

-Bryce Benhart, Ben Scott, Jahmal Banks, Thomas Fidone were held out of scrimmage on Saturday - not injured just veterans and playing it safe-We protected the ball well in the scrimmage, only one turnover-Used crowd noise in the scrimmage-We had 31 turnovers, and only 13 takeaways - not nearly enough-Pleased with everyone's winter training-Really happy at how the players bounced back today after the scrimmage - “saw a lot of growth”-“I don't anticipate anyone going in [to the transfer portal]”-Coach Rhule has players showing them texts from other coaches tampering-Can’t be afraid of pushing guys to bring out the best of them because they might go into the portal-Vincent Shavers has earned the right to have people talking about him-WR Room is significantly improved-They had too many drops in the scrimmage-Our guys struggle when they get pressed, trying to manufacture that because Tony White’s defense doesn’t teach them to deal with it-Older players can mentor in handling pressure, workloads-Garret McGuire needs to teach the press and ball skills-“We’re 5-7 until we change that … we’re always going to practice physical. How can you master your craft if you don’t do it”-Guys are going to get banged up and hurt, but if guys play full speed and they get used to it, injuries decrease.

Not liking the dropped balls. Not sure if they were overthrown or burst downfield was lacking. The balls had a nice point to them. Who is 44? Guy caught everything thrown to him.
I noticed the same thing.

Agree. Don't take this job if you hate dealing fans and media. Take a job like Iowa State or Minnesota.
Right?
I mean, embrace it, why not?

Take pictures with fans, sign autographs, stop by a bar near campus and buy a round for everyone and leave.

You are already set for life once you sign that contract, why act like a stick in the mud. You get MAYBE 20 years at this job, MAYBE...but more than likely you get less than 10. You are already rich, you are set, enjoy it.

"Marketing team". I wonder how much that runs him?
Dylan said before in an interview some months ago that he didn't personally get involved in the NIL negotiations. I think his Mom and Dad are in charge of that aspect and probably rely on some NIL expert to help them. NIL isn't the deciding factor with him and never was. The family has too much money to worry about trying to squeeze out top dollar. They want a fair NIL deal I'm sure but he/they are not using that as a deciding factor.

100%. And hiring a marketing team to help boost his NIL is probably really smart. That's just gotta cost some decent coin, no?

“Marketing team” is just an NIL agent, which are perfectly legal and completely necessary for a player of his stature

Their fee is no different than any other professional they represent - a small percentage of what they negotiate on behalf of their client
