Or, more likely than that, she committed suicide. This story is bizarre. Mom rents a boat to go out with a 4 year old boy. Huh? I think she is alive somewhere.
With her 4 year old son there? I’m not so sure...Or, more likely, she committed suicide.
I think it was it was an accidental drowning. I just meant that I would bet on suicide ahead of faking her death. With her 4 year old son there? I’m not so sure...
That is what I suspect. She planned this. She projected it a mile away on her own IG. https://talentrecap.com/chilling-la...-rivera-went-missing-on-boat-trip-with-son-2/Or, more likely than that, she committed suicide.
Hmmm. This seems to be pretty telling. But why bring your 4 year old along? I can’t fathom that... not saying I disagree with you, just shocking that she would do that in front of him. That is what I suspect. She planned this. You know I thought I knew enough swimming that I could swim to shore, basically enough to save myself, but a friend who was a way better swimmer than myself drowned, after that I said screw it, I fish on solid ground now. No going out on boats or tubing for meI was a lifeguard for several years. People severely underestimate how easy it is to drown, especially out in open water like that.
Get yourself out away from the boat and not realize it's drifting on you and then get tired, you're done. Try to fight a current, same deal. There's a reason you're supposed to just float and wait if you get caught in a rip current.
You get exhausted from running you might fall down and get scraped up. Get exhausted in the middle of a lake and you die. Happened to a kid I knew who went to Westside, he drowned at a lake party.
I watched enough kids who knew how to swim just run out of gas halfway across a deep end and stop making progress. We were there to jump in and get them.
Sorry to hear that. I failed my swim test at lifeguard training. You had to do 500 yards which doesn't sound like a lot, I was cocky and didn't bother practicing at all. I grew up with a pool in the back yard, I got it in the bag right? You know I thought I knew enough swimming that I could swim to shore, basically enough to save myself, but a friend who was a way better swimmer than myself drowned, after that I said screw it, I fish on solid ground now. I made it about halfway through and knew if I went for another lap I was gonna have to get rescued. My form was garbage and I wore out. I got humble and spent the rest of the week swimming laps and working on my form.
It takes very little time to go from OK to active drowning. You've got maybe around 30 seconds to get to them before they go under.
They regularly are fishing bodies out of Lake Michigan up here because somebody gets pulled out in the rip or swept off a pier, or just goes out swimming and doesn't come back. You know after it gets to be a number of hours of the search that it's not a rescue, it's a recovery.
Knowing how to swim is one thing. Being able to survive in ice-cold water when you can't touch the bottom or reach the side is quite another.
Hope that little boy isn't haunted by this for the rest of his life, and this sad story helps other parents make safer choices regarding water recreation. Wearing a life vest isn't cool or comfortable, but its like a seat belt - you don't need it until you do.
They lost me with this opening sentence:That is what I suspect. She planned this. She projected it a mile away on her own IG. https://talentrecap.com/chilling-la...-rivera-went-missing-on-boat-trip-with-son-2/
