Fyfe started one game. Tommy has started three years. Fyfe throws a WAY better ball. There is no question about that at all. He made a couple mistakes in his first game ever. Tommy is still making numerous mistakes that high school kids don't.

There is zero question that Fyfe throws a better ball. He made a couple mistakes in his first start ever. Tommy is still doing ridiculous things after three years. If Fyfe had three years starting, he would be twice the QB.

Jokinig aside, I don't see Fyfe beating Iowa.

Tommy's errors today are worse than Fyfe's were in Fyfe's first start ever. I think the chance of Fyfe improving after one start is significantly higher that Tommy after three years. The playbook becomes much bigger with Fyfe in the game. The short passes are like handoffs with him, as they should be for a college QB.
