Last one with the ball wins the game. So the #1 Rhule is to use those timeouts to make sure you have the ball last.
As I posted earlier. OSU has identified our weak links. Giff, Sherman and Hartzog.

OSU got away with holding which gave time for the receiver to blow by our Jack backer. Sherman is a tweener. He's too small to be a DE and too slow to be an outside linebacker. Gifford makes too many mental mistakes and is too small. Hartzog ditto.
Played that defensive possession to lose. No aggression. Linebackers matched up with backs and receivers all over the field. Pathetic.
21-17. We have the ball in the 4th Quarter in the Horseshoe. Yeah I have lived through 25 years of whatever can go wrong going wrong. But it feels good to have the ability to control our destiny on the road against the #4 team in the nation.
Hey, Armchair coaches. Is there ever a thought to call a timeout while on D? Give the guys a breather and slow down the Fluckeye's momentum?
Sure would have been nice to score TDs on those other 2 opportunities in the 3rd quarter.

Gifford is part of the mental issue that is plaguing this team. His responsibility was the qb on that play but he overplays the rb because he is trying to do too much instead of handling his responsibility because of all of the screw ups over his career here.
