From the LJS preview linked above:
"The Huskers are 9-1 this season in games when coming off a loss."
For reference, the basketball team was 8-2 this past season in games when coming off a loss, but 6-0 when playing a game within 6 days following a loss. Not that it matters for baseball, just thought I'd throw it out there :D

From the OWH preview linked above:
- Despite starting Fisher tonight, Erstad expects the pitching approach for the Huskers to be a "staff day".
- Our bullpen against Minnesota allowed just one earned run in 10.1 IP (0.87 ERA).
- Creighton SP Preston Church is a graduate transfer from Western Illinois.

Starting Lineup Changes from Last Game
NEBRASKA (Sunday)
(8) Watson enters at DH, (1) Repinski moves to 2B, Henwood exits the lineup.
(9) Acker enters at CF, (7) Hallmark moves to RF, (3) Schreiber moves to 1B, (5) Roskam moves to 3B, (5) Altavilla moves to SS, Cronenbold exits the lineup.
(2) Hagge moves up from 6.
(5) Altavilla moves down from 2.
(6) Roskam moves down from 5.

CREIGHTON (Friday)
No Changes.

3B Luevano is a candidate to pitch in save situations.

Tough 1st inning to get the first two batters on and not to even score one. Ouch.

Creighton doing the opposite and taking advantage of their runner in scoring position to go up 1-0 heading to the Top of the 2nd.

Huskers blow another opportunity by getting a couple hits but Schreiber getting thrown out at 3rd and the next two go down in order kills that inning. Heading to the Bottom of the 4th 1-0 CU

Looks as though creighton has broken the game open with a 2 run 8th inning. Nebraska will have to do something it hasn’t done in a few games and do it more than once to win this game.

CU 3-0 heading to the Top of the 9th

Probably doesn't help that only have two healthy lefties to practice against.
Yep, and Silva’s inability to recruit lefties in general. Luckily we have a righty in now so we have a slight chance.

Edit: To break the scoreless streak that is.

After the last couple of weeks, I've just kind of made peace with the fact this team isn't going to do much this season. Winning the series at Ohio State this weekend may change my outlook, but right now, I'm not expecting much the rest of the season.

I think they would need to go 5-1 the next two series. Anyone who says that isn't possible doesn't realize how bad Michigan State really is. We also play Omaha who is better than Oral Roberts.
