Well, to be fair, Sam comes off the bench. Gary and Williams are out there all the time and no better. Our bigs are very abused.

Nebraska needs to hire a defensive specialist for both the men and women. At least the women got hit from outside after getting owned in the first half under the rim.

Sam has started the last 3-4 games and is playiing 30+ mins/game.
Agree that our D philosophy needs to improve/evolve.

Assuming no one leaves, we should get Reink Mast back. He was a good option last year, but not sure he would be labeled a "go to" scorer. Had a number of great games. Then we should have Essegian and Berke. Not overwhelming but both have shown glimpses of having some offensive game. Maybe Griffiths turns things on and get some quality minutes. Wildcards are Frager and Janowski. Likely more role players next year, although Janowski seemed to be highly touted as a 3-point scorer out of HS.

Going to need a PG (maybe 2), a hybrid #2-#3 guy like Brice, and at least 1 big guy to replace Meah / Morgan. Am I missing anything?

Would be F’n great.

A PG that can take it to the hoop and a solid wing scorer seem like the top priorities. Those 2 positions have the opportunity to make the rest of the roster just a scooch better. Then a big guy to bang and play defense, along with a backup PG that can play defense, and we should be in good shape.

Whatever Connor E gives you on offense he gives up on defense. Routinely gets torched/abused. That’s why Fred only puts him in when we get behind (for hopefully instant offense).

Penn State lost again - this time at home to Washington. That game is becoming a must-win for NU, but for all the wrong reasons.
