Kudos to Sam for what he's done for Nebraska, but I wish we could recruit 70% as well as a team like Maryland does. Every single guy was physically talented AND had basketball skills. I wish we had some guys around Williams and Gary that weren't primarily known for being scrappy and punching up.

Agreed. That was a very winnable game. Defense played pretty well but we just missed too many open shots

Well, to be fair, Sam comes off the bench. Gary and Williams are out there all the time and no better. Our bigs are very abused.

Nebraska needs to hire a defensive specialist for both the men and women. At least the women got hit from outside after getting owned in the first half under the rim.

I respectfully disagree, With the NIL we'll have a different roster every year. I think we can be just as good or better next year. This is true, but the next portal class needs to be much more athletic. Fred bagged some good role players this past year, but in a footrace with a pregnant woman they would all finish tied for 3rd place.
