Props to MR, coaches & staff for creativity, an organized plan & hard work.

Strike while the iron is hot!
MR & staff will be one of the hottest coaching groups coming off this season with 10 or more wins & breaking the 4 game / year losing streak. MR will be the sweetheart of the college football prom.

2016 is the year to open the flood gates with Husker satellite camps to get the Husker product out to the public. Satellite camps has to be the most cost effectiveness recruiting tool. It gives our coaches an opportunity to look over prospects together. It quickly builds a national network of HS, juco, small college coaches, media, parents, etc.

Do 20 satellite camps each year in 2016, 2017 & 2018. Split our staff into 2 groups each doing 10 satellite camps per summer (basically 2 weeks). Rotate MR so he can attend the various camps every couple years.

Keep camp dates as close together geographically so as to more easily be able to travel from camp to camp.

Provide luxury touring buses or private jet for coaches & staff to go from camp to camp.

If our staff just did this for a couple years they would have a massive network of contacts across the country. Then you start bringing more of them to Lincoln for camps.

More of these camps will save time & $$$ recruiting in the long run. Get to evaluate way more kids at each camp vs one at a time during fall season, spring practices, etc.

A good thing about satellite camps is it seems it would put a lot more of the work load in setting things up on those having the camps.

If this is as successful as it could be I would think the SEC, PAC12, TX, MICH, OSU, etc will be on a mission to shut these down or limit them. Thus, take advantage of it while it lasts.

Our alumni association could also capitalize on this by having brief meet & greet events with our coaches in each of these cities at the same time.

Here is the 2016 & 2017 tour choices (not all in 1 year):

CA: SD, LA, Inland Empire, Fresno, SF/OAK & SAC.
OR: PORT.
WA: SEA.
NV: LV.
AZ: PHX.
CO: DEN.
OK: TUL.
TX: DFW, HOU, SAT.
LA: NO.
MS: JACK.
AL: BIRM.
FL: MIA, TAMP, ORL, JACK, PENS.
TN: NASH.
GA: ATL.
NC: CLT.
VA: NOR.
DC: DC.
MD: BAL
PA: PHL & PITT.
NJ: CAMB.
OH: CIN & CLEV.
MI: DET.
IN: INDY.
IL: CHG.
MO: STL & KC.

Some may question why I included certain camps. Let me explain.

Western states loaded with Nebraskans, NU alumni & NU fans. Easy to get to especially on SWA & other airlines.

WA & OR: Many people in these areas know & love MR & staff from OSU. Now they can send their kids to a real FB school. Also, I seem to recall some Husker player named Suh from Portland.

CA: 40,000,000 plus population loaded with great players & not that many P5 schools. We need to pound to CA with as many camps as possible.

AZ, NV & CO: Screw ASU. Plus, get kids from surrounding states to drive or fly into PHX, LV or DEN.

TX: 20,000,000 million plus people loaded w/ D1 FB talent. Min 3 camps.

LA, MS, AL, GA, FL & TN: Ameer, Frazier, Smith, etc chose NU. Southern people respect NU FB tradition. Don't be afraid to sell kids on chance to play up north to get ready for weather in pros.

NC & VA: Way too much talent to waste in ACC.

DC, MD, NJ: BIG areas. Rutgers & Maryland don't deserve to keep the talent available.

PA, OH, IL, IN, MN: BIG areas. If we're not afraid to play them in their stadium lets not be afraid to recruit in their backyard.

MO: Mizzou who?
