Defensive end Jordan Ochoa out of Castle View (Colo.) High School has committed to Nebraska. Ochoa is a two-star prospect in the 2024 class who was previously committed to Wyoming for seven months (April-Sept 2023). In addition to Wyoming, Ochoa had offers from Washington State, Toledo and HBCU programs Florida A&M and Jackson State.
Given several factors – the Huskers' current scholarship numbers, how late the addition was to the class, his offer sheet, the wording of his tweet, no mention of an offer anywhere – it's safe to assume this is a preferred walk-on addition.
