Who do you think would win I between these two titans? Both played schedules consisting of Bo Diddley Tech and South Birmingham YMCA. The difference between them is, Liberty had to face stiff competition in Oregon and got exposed while BYU literally didn't play anyone with a pulse that year.

I believe a better comparison is BYU and UCF.
UCF played pretty weak competition, but beat Auburn.
Liberty concentrates on producing pool boys.

1997 played Ohio State and Colorado, so I would say they played a more rigorous schedule than BYU.
byu beat no. 3 pitt and michigan in 1984. mich beat a 10-3 osu and a 10-2 buffs. not alot of difference once you throw out the usual hype.
Pitt finished with a 3-7-1 record in 1984. Michigan finished with a 6-6 record in 1984. Michigan's wins over Colorado and Ohio State were far more impressive.
