Northwestern State C Kelsey Richard has caught every inning for the Demons this season.

Northwestern State was picked to finish last in the Southland Conference preseason poll out of 14 teams. And we lost to them yesterday.

I’ll give highlights on major scoring plays but for the sake of my phone battery I’ll keep it at that today. GBR!

Like yesterday, Taylor (listed as 3B starter) and Watson (listed as 2B starter) for Northwestern State will swap positions throughout the game based on the pull side of the batter. Taylor is the better defender and will always be on the pull side.

I don't recall the last time we had runners thrown out at home plate in consecutive days.

Random Recap: Nothing much through the first inning and a half. Matt Warren looking good on the mound and some missed opportunities in the bottom of the 1st.

The Huskers string together a few singles and a grand slam by Roskam gives the Huskers a cushy 6-0 lead and sends NSU to the bullpen.

Back to back innings of NSU hitting has quickly turned it into a 6-5 game. Heading to

Giving up three 2-out runs is never good.

Sounds like Tillotson will be climbing the mound in the 6th for us.

Hohensee comes in to close it up. Does give up a HR otherwise gets the save and gives the Huskers a much needed 7-6 win!
