Who did Austin have relationships when he was canned. There’s your problem. Austin had nothing in the pipeline from Austin. Nothing. It’s one of the reasons Austin was fired.
donnie had an entire season to land 1 single kid.

he failed while others were bringing in eventual starters.

it is what it is. it's clear Donnie isn't going anywhere and Dana now has 2 jobs to do.

Rhule himself knows how to coach the O- Line so Dana doesn’t need doing 2 jobs.. Quit brain farting.
Give this subject a rest..

Don’t be such a clown.
I really don't know why you have such a personal axe to grind on behalf of Uncle Don.

then again, he is not the first under performer you've taken up the mantle for.

I assume everyone here wants the absolute best players, coaches, admins in the world at NU. and I assume everyone here wants to go 16-0 every season.

is that not the case?

Pot Roast was Wagner’s DL coach in 2019.

Bradden was the youngest high school head coach & AD in the history of the state of FL

I know a 10-figure booster who lunches with Dannen monthly who told me Rhule wanted to wait until the end of the season to make changes and Dannen said we have to do something sooner.

Dannen owns the football budget. Rhule cannot make staff changes without Dannen’s consent. Just like every other football program in America.
A billion dollar booster? Dear god why do we suck then?

ha! 8-figure*

good catch & correction. I'll leave the original so people can make fun of me.

I do think the Hawks' donations have to have gotten near or above 9-figures, though.

So when Rhule went to Dana in January of 2024 to join the team was Dannen telling him to do so while he was still at Washington?

Quite the contrary.

He deflected all credit to Rhule, like any good leader would do.

I also give Rhule much credit for the humility he showed in following through with what’s best for the program.

This is all management 101 stuff, Deano
He can’t have it both ways. There shouldn’t even be a hint from an AD to a booster that undermines a coach. A very bad look for Dannen if true.

yes, a DL recruited by the DL coach.

Justin Evans-Jenkins

“After Erickson left the class in September, for the next three months, it seemed the Huskers would miss on an offensive lineman altogether in this class, especially after Greg Austin was fired. Thanks to defensive line coach Mike Dawson's connections to the state of New Jersey, the Huskers were able to identify Justin Evans-Jenkins as a prospect of interest just weeks before the early signing period.”

“Indeed, it was his senior film as an offensive lineman that intrigued Nebraska, and the Huskers reached out to try and bring him to campus. He took an official visit to Lincoln Dec. 10-12 and got the chance to spend time with new offensive line coach Donovan Raiola, who had been hired earlier in the week. The Huskers extended an offer on the eve of the early signing period. Evans-Jenkins announced his decision and signed with Nebraska the following day during a ceremony at his high school.”

Thank you, Coach Dawson!

Uncle Donnie isn’t doing so good in getting any transfers
I’m sure he’s waiting to get guys who are in the playoffs currently…

For what it’s worth, we have done quite well with OL recruiting the last few years. Not sure why people are complaining about his recruiting. I get why people complain about his coaching, but he has done well enough to get statistically the highest rated OLine class since ratings existed. I think it was the 2024 class…

He's recruited since highly rated guys last couple years. The OL was probably or strongest offensive unit this year.

Pederson was an open book to boosters of substance. I knew Frank was done before Frank knew😡. And no I’m not a booster of substance but one of my family was good friends with several and also knew Frank well.
I’ll Veer off topic by over 20 years but why didn’t Frank get fired a year before he did? When they went 7-7. Pedersen watched as Frank dismissed several long time assistants, hired upgrades such as Bo Pelini. Had a better year then fired him. Pedersen was an idiot for doing that.

Huh? Go to huskermax and read all the articles on his commitment. 100% an offensive lineman.

Listed as DT, Dawson lead recruiter

A lot of credit should go to outside linebacker coach Mike Dawson. His ability to recruit the state of New Jersey is one of the more under-the-radar strengths on the coaching staff.
