Nebraska takes an early 3-0 lead heading into the 2nd inning off of the bat of Cam Chick who hits a 3 run bomb.

A solo shot in the top half of the 2nd makes it a 3-1 lead for the Huskers.

A 2 out triple by Hallmark and a single by Boynton scores another in the bottom of the 2nd. 4-1 Huskers!

Why did Feekin leave the game?

My guess is pitch count but I wasn’t near my radio that that time. At least I hope it’s pitch count.

    still 4-1 through 4 innings.

Looks like it's a Johnny Wholestaff day.

I'm fearful it's an injury (hopefully just a precaution) with Feekin since he went 2.1 IP rather than finishing out T3.

Columbia gets a run in the top of the 7th while Nebraska adds a run in the bottom half to make it 9-5 Huskers.

A SAC fly by Roskam and a 2 RBI single by Boynton gives the Huskers a crooked number on the board and a 12-5 lead heading into the 9th inning!

Get this, Schreiber got seven outs on 20 pitches to close the game. Boom!

Surprised Max stayed in as long as he did.
Thought the staff would treat Schreiber like Kissak...
use him to get out of that inning and shut him down.
We kept watching Hallmark warm up in the pen.
But Max's pitch count was very low going into the 9th.
    Happy for Schreiber! Finished strong.
Couple guys fought off adversity today, and worked thru it.

    What made me happy
    3 - 1 - 0 - 1 - 2 - 0 - 2 - 3 - X
    Only two scoreless innings.
