“Baby Mahomes?”

Nebraska has nothing to do with it. The media trying to get views/attention by using Mahomes popularity.
Pretty sure if Nebraska reached out to “the media” and asked them to stop, bet they could and would. But right now Mahomes hasn’t complained and Nebraska/DR hasn’t either.

I am officially sick of the cosplay routine.

KC's guy is a winner. ours just pretends.

I’d like to say he’s a freshman and he will improve. But under this offensive staff I can’t convince myself of that no matter how hard I try. I honestly think the whole offensive staff needs to go. I’m sure we’ll keep Donnie cause, well you know…

The Mahomes bullshit is getting old very quickly. Dylan needs two things: Coaching and being your own person. He is not what we thought he was. However, the talent is there for the right person to bring it out. Until then, we have "turned two shitty teams around and then bailed Matthew Rhule" or getting some real coaching at another school. He bails in 1 year, if not this year and realizes the mistake that he made. Good luck to him.

I'm not saying he's shitting the bed but Big 10 defenses are different animals. They are throwing different packages and schemes at him and his production shows. I think this is as much on Satterfield for not putting him in a better spot to succeed. 10 sacks in two of the last 3 games is on Satt and Uncle Donovan.
I am saying he is shitting the bed. The talent is there, superstars overcome the shitty coaches and make things happen. As a QB who has been coddled his whole life, he is not mentally there, as his 2nd to last QB rating out of every power team in the nation over the last 6 games reflects.

I wonder if he understands he probably won't win another game this year yet. Do these kids already know they won't win another game this year?

Raiola would look like an All American right now if he had Andy Reid calling plays for him. Satterfield has fed Raiola to the wolves with his scheme and play calling. Now DR has multiple injuries and PTSD.
DR should have stuck with Georgia. Even if he sits the first year. He would have received actual coaching Rhule con not/will not provide. Be in a winning culture and talent around him. He probably would have taken the reigns next year and be very successful. Feel bad for the kid at this point. I honestly think he felt pressure from his family to come to Nebraska. And this could ultimately ruin him if he stays the course. He should leave

I bet he drives a nice car though. Don’t hate him just because you were driving a Plymouth Sundance as a college frosh. I sometimes wonder if he punks his uncle over who has more money in the bank jack…. more like an Aaron Rodgers move, but still

I think it would be in everyone’s best interest if he moved on. Nebraska needs to get back to the basics of being a run first team and Dylan needs an elite program to realize his potential.

Mahomes put up monster numbers despite the losing.
Dylan has gotten progressively worse like every qb under Satt the longer they play. He was a Mahomes type of guy, making big plays out of nothing, keeping plays alive, making risky throws. Then everything changed after his first INT against Rutgers. He became much more hesitant, probably because of Satt and because he isn't decisive he doesn't use his talent like he should. Satt has tried to make him a system qb in an awful system and it shows.

Carson Beck has gotten progressively worse at QB for GA. They are calling for his head too.

For me, this THIS is the biggest difference.

He looks hesitant to throw sitting in the pocket.

He looks hesitant to run even when it's open, almost like he's been told not to.

No question on his arm talent, it's absolutely there. But I don't know if it's paralysis by analysis, not trusting his abilities, plays not playing to his strengths, etc., but he isn't playing like a QB who believes in himself and/or his teammates.

I also don't think his issues with scrambling/extending plays are an athleticism thing. He's not the athlete Haarberg is, but he's plenty athletic to scramble for a few yards and maybe break a big one in the right circumstance. To me, the reason he looks slow is he's not decisive about it. It looks like he's desperately looking to throw the ball until the millisecond he crosses the LOS.

I was impressed he put his body on the line on the play he got hurt, but the reason he got hurt was because he was hesitant in committing to it, and then didn't have a good feel for how to take the contact. Probably because he barely practices those situations would be my guess.

It really just LOOKS like he's been told not to run with the way he acts/reacts.

Every qb starts to look like they are "thinking too much" once they play too long for Satt. Some qbs completely fall apart some just become more hesistant but every qb over the last years has regressed the longer they took reps with the first team and saw game time. This can't all be teams adjusting because Satt isn't that good of a play-caller. It might be a result of Rhule and Tony being the dominant coaches on the team and wanting to protect the defense, although they never do it...who knows.
