    No idea. It's a hypothetical. However, what's real will be NU having to underwrite thousands of unsold tickets to this game, as well as the blowback from a financial decision to leave the band home.

    I'd guess that Eichorst gave Riley the option of 1) No bowl game (SE declines any invitation, like Missouri already did) or 2) Accept a 5-7 bowl invitation, but forgo bonuses. Pretty simple decision there.
