    Not So Good Company

Glad we're at least hearing rumblings of something happening with the schedule now. I was beginning to wonder whether the conference would just pull the plug on the season entirely. I wouldn't have put it past this joke of a commissioner to do it.

    Lovie Smith done at Illinois

If this isn't sad-Illinois has beat us twice since we've been in the Big Ten. Both coaches were fired at the end of the season in which they beat us. When we lost to them in 2015, their coach was Bill Cubit, who was an interim coach at the time and was not retained after the season.

    I've seen enough

I thought I'd reached it after the Illinois game too. The Iowa and Purdue games gave me some level of hope if we could follow it up with another good game. But it's the same thing time and time again. Take a step or two forward and then take a step or two back. We cannot sustain any level of...

    I've seen enough

With every coach since Osborne, there has been a game where I decided I'd seen enough and they aren't going to get it done. I think I reached that point with Scott Frost today. He has had multiple chances to show that he can sustain some success, and he blows it every time. He'll last another...

    Blackshirts are back.

500 yards but only 23 points. Gave up lots of yards outside the red zone, but clamped down inside of it and made the stops when they needed to. I'll take that.

Nebraska under attack from media and B1G

I never said one word about fan reaction. My comments were relating to our program as a whole being attacked-meaning coaches, players and leadership. You seemed to be OK with that. So if you were comparing fan reaction, you and I were talking about two totally different things.

Nebraska under attack from media and B1G

You've got a serious reading comprehension problem if you think that's what I'm saying. Wow.

Nebraska under attack from media and B1G

Those high school kids also weren't jerked around by their conference and had their season start much later. Heck, most high school football teams are going to have played more football games than we will have anyway, even with a game or two canceled.

Nebraska under attack from media and B1G

I'm not generally into the "woe is me" stuff. I thought people made a little too big of a deal about complaining about our tough schedule. That's the kind of thing where you need to just suck it up and deal with it. But saying that we are being unfairly attacked for the horrible sin of trying to...

Nebraska under attack from media and B1G

Being treated with respect should have nothing to do with winning. The idea that what we have been doing would suddenly be OK if we had just been winning is pure nonsense. Fighting for your players and your program is great and fine if you've been a winning program recently, but it's not if you...

Nebraska under attack from media and B1G

Most of those people probably really aren't fans anyway. They claim some kind of fandom but they're really just here to cause trouble. That isn't a 2020 thing-that's just the way these message boards always have been.

Nebraska under attack from media and B1G

Criticism from that worthless arrogant blowhard is a compliment. There is no more insufferable media creature in college football, and that's saying something because there are a lot of them. He got a lot of attention for the guy who poisoned the Toomers Corner trees admitting it on his show...

FORDE:Nebraska Keeps Defying the Big Ten, Responding to Adversity With Petulance

To the extent that's true(I don't think it's as pervasive as you think it is), it's because there is a segment of people out there that just love to see previous great teams down. There are always going to be people like that around. I don't think it's anything to do with us specifically. I've...

We fought to play football for this?

I'd rather see us play a fair game against somebody other than a national championship contender before I judge how good we are.

    **** off big ten

The least surprising comment of the day. Because of course you would.

BIG mayors sticking their noses into football

She doesn't want to be known as the mayor that tried to keep Husker football from playing.

    PBA Watch Party

I'll be interested to see how popular this is. Not sure how many people remember this, but they did something similar to this at the Devaney Center in 2000 for the Notre Dame game. I think it was done as a sort of trial run to see how popular it was. I was there for it, and there were maybe...

Am I misreading? (Theres no chance we play).

I still find it interesting that we are apparently the only group in sports that is concerned about myocarditis. It's never been mentioned in connection with any of the professional sports leagues or any of the other conferences, but yet it's supposedly supposed to be this major issue. I think...

Line The Streets During a Homegame

I'm thinking we may do something like the old Husker Nation Pavilion they used to have at the track northeast of the stadium. They used to show the game on a big screen and people could watch it there. People are going to congregate places anyway-might as well offer some place for people to do it.

Am I misreading? (Theres no chance we play).

Sitting out 3 weeks(which is ridiculous) applies to players who test positive, not the entire team if the positivity rate is 5% or higher. In that case, it says practice and competition would be halted for a minimum of 7 days.
