Why is Josh Heupel more successful in 1 year than Frost in 4 years

Heupel took over for Frost at UCF.
Year 1: 12-1
Year 2: 10-3
Year 3: 6-4

UT Year 1: 5-5

They'll likely end up at 7-5 and hit a bowl game. 2 years ago they were 8-5 and collapsed in a Covid year and fired their coach.

The 'success' he is enjoying this year is largely due to Hendon Hooker, a transfer QB from Virginia Tech. Hooker wasn't his original starter this year. The guy that started the 1st game was a transfer in Joe Milton that came from Michigan. Not being hired till late January this year, was likely a blessing. He had to hit the portal for a QB, and he landed 2 experienced quality guys from solid P5 schools.

Either way, UT has some pretty dismal losses this year with a nice win over Kentucky.

Time will tell how it all plays out.

he better cut down on the uber foods, hes got manginoesque body figure on the horizon

Manginoesque ~ "What, Uber delivers food, too?"

Looks kinda like Heupel took what Frost left ucf and did worse year after year.

Settle down OP, that doesn't mean I think Frost is doing a great job at Nebraska.

So you’re saying Heupel found a good QB? Interesting…

Because he is a better coach. Sec is much tougher than the big ten. It is funny people are trying to make the big ten out to be some dominant league. Other than Ohio state it hasnt been anything special for a while

I've been saying it for 2 years. A QB can make or break a team. Even with Brook Berringer, Tom wasn't winning that Natie without Tommie. Same goes for Frost's last year. You have to have the man at QB.
Tom Osborne needed both Tommie Frazier and Brook Berringer to win the 1994 National Championship. Without either qb, no championship that year.

Because he doesn't have some geezer riding his a** 24/7?
Maybe because Heupel is a better coach. Most of the time the most obvious and simple answer is the best.
