Mike'l Severe seems to think if there were going to be charges you don't wait a day. He is guessing they are announcing no charges.
The authorities initially said these things can take weeks. So a possibility is no DNA evidence had to be processed and a determination has been made one way or the other. Another possibility is the "update" will be there is nothing new since, "these things take weeks".
The players talk at the press conference on Monday, Police talking on Wednesday, lines not moving.... pretty obvious the boys are playing. For some of conservative Nebraska the rumors even without crime are repulsive, for some not at all. All will unite around the team come Friday
