Trey Palmer was added to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List on Wednesday morning. The award recognizes college football's outstanding receiver at any position.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound LSU transfer has 36 catches for 480 yards and two touchdowns. He's set career highs in receiving yards four times in five games, including a career-high 157 yards on eight catches in the Huskers’ win over Indiana. His 71-yard touchdown connection with Casey Thompson early in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winning score.
Palmer ranks second in the Big Ten in catches and third in yards. Nationally, he's 10th in catches per game (7.2) and 18th in receiving yards per game (96).
