I'm not expecting Nebraska to be very active during this transfer portal window, however, there are three names that have popped up on my radar over the last 24 hours that members of the staff are monitoring/getting feelers on

North Platte alum who spent the last two years at Montana. Ran a 10.5 100 meter dash in high school, 41.5 vertical, and was a two-time wrestling state champ. Fits the athletic profile Rhule likes. If Nebraska adds anyone from the portal this go around, Genatone makes a lot of sense, even if it's not on scholarship.

SMU defensive back/returner entered the portal as a grad transfer and Nebraska has shown interest. Evan Cooper and Josh Martin follow him, Martin familiar with Massey from his time at SMU. Had over 100 tackles in his time at SMU and returned kicks. Notably had 686 kick return yards and two touchdowns in 2021. Makes some sense if the staff is looking for a veteran presence in the secondary.

Williams entered the portal after just one year at Georgia and has multiple Nebraska staffers monitoring, though this feels like a long shot more multiple reasons. He's a field stretching receiver at just around 6-foot-3. He's got a basketball background and at one point had legit D1 interest before turning his attention to football. Nifty runner in the open field at his size, short area burst and acceleration is a question at this point, but no question about his ability to make plays downfield. Needed development out of high school, not sure how much he got at Georgia trying to compete for playing time. Nebraska would likely be more interested if they didn't get Jamhal Banks and Isaiah Neyor out of the portal in the December window.
