Something I remember because I am old, but not so old that I forget a lot of stuff or make things up.
Back in 1978 when Tom Osborne announced that he would not accept a job at Colorado, a local bunch started the Tom Osborne Fan club. They sold bumper stickers that read, you guessed it, "Tom Osborne Fan Club". With the proceeds, they bought the Osborne family the finest VCR on the market. Not sure what happened to the club. With the salaries head coach make today they could probably afford to buy an entire TV network.
