That story hasn’t been told yet…They didn't get the " Nebraska " treatment this year. Why would thy next year? B12 officials love uterus and OU
This is a bit of a side note expanding on your ND comment. They tried to get K-State's Collin Klein to South Bend as offensive coordinator replacing Tommy Rees who earlier left for Alabama. Klein was in South Bend Wednesday. He turned ND down today. In what world would ND lose their head coach and offensive coordinator to other schools, and then not be able to hire a B12 assistant? Again, to your point about ND's bargaining power.XII can now go out and try and Get Utah Colorado Arizona and Arizona State. PAC 12 is Dead. Oregon, Washington, Stanford and Cal need to grovel to the B1G or they will be toast. Notre Dame is going to have to make a decision on a conference soon. Every year they wait they lose bargaining power.

If there is such a thing as karma, when Texas goes to Ames on Nov 18, the flag count will be 16-2 in favor of ISU (with multiple flags thrown on Texas on 3 of those 16 accepted calls), and ISU wins by a field goal, propelling them to an Alamo Bowl bid. They didn't get the " Nebraska " treatment this year. Nebraska would have a small chance in winning big 12 if they joined after TX and OU leave.Well of course that's virtually impossible to go back to the Big 8. I understand the nostalgia for those days but the reality is that half those teams are gone: Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and now Oklahoma. And 8 teams in a conference just cannot compete financially for a big media deal in today's world. 8 lesser competitive teams become a non Power 5 conference. Without Texas and Oklahoma, the remaining Big 12 will have enough trouble competing with other conferences financially to fund their response to the college football arms race even with expansion.
Selfishly for Nebraska, thankfully we're now in a rich, secure conference. And the decline of the Big 12 probably makes it a bit easier for us to recruit in the 500 mile radius.
Larger than ut's chance of ever winning the SEC....Nebraska would have a small chance in winning big 12 if they joined after TX and OU leave.
No, it's not like that. It would be like you taking a new job next year, giving notice, and thus foregoing this year's $100 million earnings with your present employer.“Compensation to the Conference for the early withdrawals of the two schools totals $100 million in foregone distributable revenues, which OU and UT will be able to partially offset with future revenues.”
Is this like when I quit a job and forgo future paychecks from that job, and I just take a new job? Quite the penalty if true…
We'll see slick.Larger than ut's chance of ever winning the SEC....
Look, horns-down dork, your team never wins anything and the only good coach you had in the last 50 years you chased off...We'll see slick.
Amen AmenLook, horns-down dork, your team never wins anything and the only good coach you had in the last 50 years you chased off...
And, be honest, what do you think of the penalty for "horns down"?
Also, what did your dorks think about Beard? That was funny shit...
It will not go well for them.

No, it is like quitting your job that pays $50k a year, with little room for salary advancement and taking a $75k per year job that starts in a year where there will be salary increases. When you look back in 10 years, OU and Texas will have more revenue by joining the SEC than they would have earned had they stayed in the Big 12, even starting $50 mil in the hole. No, it's not like that. Texas often led the nation in revenue (with their Longhorn Network) while being a member of the B12. OU also did well. We'll see if that continues in the SEC.No, it is like quitting your job that pays $50k a year, with little room for salary advancement and taking a $75k per year job that starts in a year where there will be salary increases.
