Unfortunately, I think she will be gone from the team. If she truely wants to stay at Nebraska, she would have to do a public apology and agree to some serious counseling. It's a long shot though. In any event, I hope she learns and goes on to be great.

Only 2 things could’ve happened for her to publicly be accused of shoplifting. Here in Nebraska they actually have security personnel that detain people as they exit the store. I know that’s shocking news considering the policies many private companies are adopting these days. (IDK what Scheels policy/protocol is specifically) OR… She was caught on camera, if so it must be pretty clear and damning evidence for Scheels security to know exactly who she is and to feel comfortable enough going public with that info. It’s one or the other and likely the 1st option.

The young lady needs help. Therapist type. Something is not right with her at present.
Losing her Dad when she was young is something that could have really wounded her. I'd say she needs some help. Maybe this is her broken way of trying to get it.
I am guessing that any team she plays for Huskers or not, fans will rain down on her especially on the road for her insults like thief, crook whatever. I stole a candy bar when I was a kid and to this day, I remember that and regret it AND so will she most likely. Stupid of me.
