Nebraska hosted four-star Texas linebacker Tyanthony Smith on Saturday. The defender's most recent visits were to Oklahoma, Miami, Texas, and USC. He came into the weekend with his main focus getting a chance to meet with Nebraska's coaching staff and he got the chance to do that.
"It was nice getting to talk with coach Rhule. He is a serious guy and he takes the game seriously," Smith said.
Smith, who averaged 11 tackles a game last season, said that getting check out Nebraska's practice was the best part of the visit.
"They’re very aggressive and the energy there is great," Smith said.
The Texas native didn't specifically talk to Rhule or defensive coordinator Tony White about how they view him in the defense but he did say he likes Nebraska's scheme. Right now the only official visit he has set up is to USC on June 16. He is still weighing his options when it comes to which other visits he will take.
