The Huskers hosted one of the top defensive linemen in the 2025 class, London Merritt this weekend for the matchup with Purdue. Merritt has over 40 scholarship offers from around the country so getting him exposed to Lincoln as he goes through his process is great. Merritt seems to have enjoyed his trip.
"I had great time it was a great atmosphere," Merritt said. "The coaches were cool. It seemed like they really appreciated me taking the time to come out there.."
It'll be tough to pull him out of the South but sources tell me that Merritt really liked what he saw in Lincoln. The 3-3-5 defense and how he could excel in the JACK role was a big part of the pitch to him.
